Brief Story of Harboe Brewery

Harboe's Brewery founded in 1883, it is a Danish brewery located in Skælskør, Denmark. Jørgen and Adolph Harboe, as well as grocer Jørgen Lotz, decided to build a brand new brewery in Skælskø to provide good, tasty beer to the local community.

Harboe & Lotzs Bryggeri was the name of the brewery, and it was the start of a long journey for the Harboe family and the company. On August 2, 1883, the first beer was brewed and transported in wooden barrels by horse and cart. Customers in the community were happy at the prospect of having beer delivered to their door.

In Adelgade 20, a brewery was built, along with a home for Jorgen's son Gunner. Gunner went to Germany to learn how to brew beer as the brewery's first brewmaster. Harboe Beer is a range of premium beer of Danish origin. Harboe Beer is distributed globally and is one of the best-selling brands in the Scandinavian beer market.

It is a global beverage company with production facilities in three countries and operations in more than 90 markets around the world. They manufacture and market beverages and malt-based ingredients. For five generations, the company has been family-owned and managed.
