Sazerac

Sazerac

The Sazerac is a bold and aromatic cocktail with a smooth rye whiskey base, enhanced by the subtle bitterness of Peychaud’s bitters and a hint of absinthe. It has a deep, slightly herbal complexity balanced by a touch of sweetness.

Served in a chilled, absinthe-rinsed rocks glass without ice, allowing the flavors to fully develop as you sip.

Creative twists

Variations include the Cognac Sazerac (substituting cognac for whiskey) and the Mezcal Sazerac (adding smoky mezcal).

Food pairing & serving suggestion

Pairs well with rich charcuterie, dark chocolate, and blue cheese.
