Lauder's Scotch Whisky made its debut in 1834. Archibald Lauder created the first mix shortly after whisky distillation became permitted. Lauder was so successful that his extremely exact mix won numerous gold medals in international contests, which may still be visible on the bottle label today. Lauder's is still created from the best Highland, Lowland, and Speyside malts, which are aged in oak barrels and mixed together to create a light, yet fruity, full-bodied Scotch.
It features apple and pear aromas on the scent and a light grain and dry fruit tongue. It has a faint tobacco and spice flavor to it at the end. This whiskey is a combination of spirits from the Speyside, Lowland, and Highland areas, resulting in a well-balanced blend.
