The most southern parts of Africa produce some of the world's best wines. Our family-owned winery, Kleine Zalze, has been producing excellent wine here since 1695. One of our farms is located in Africa's southernmost point, dubbed "The Foot of Africa" by this superb wine. Early in the morning, the grapes were collected between 23 and 24° Balling and quickly chilled to 12°C.
After a thorough settling, the wine was cold fermented and aged for two months on the lees before being filtered and bottled. On the nose, there are strong lime, tropical, ripe pineapple notes, which are complemented by a long clean, crisp aftertaste. After bottling, this Chenin Blanc with a medium full style will age nicely in the bottle.
